As a young person, I had a deep desire to find ways to help others in a professional and meaningful way. This desire stayed with me over the years and eventually led me to pursue a clinical counsellor and psychotherapist career.

In my quest to better understand human nature and be better equipped to help others, I found inspiration in the ideas of influential philosophers and thinkers from both eastern and western traditions. Through studying the works of Aristotle, Plato, Avicenna, Rumi, Mulla Sadra, Sartre, Heidegger, Buber, Kierkegaard, and Nietzsche, I gained insights into the complexities of human behaviour and emotions. This inspired me to pursue an academic journey in counselling psychology, even though I had previously obtained a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Philosophy.

Armed with my philosophical background, I embarked on a new academic journey, earning a Ph.D. and M.Ed. in Counselling Psychology from the University of Putra and the University of Ottawa.

During my studies, my professional motivation centred around humanistic approaches and existential thoughts. I honed my skills and knowledge by exploring popular humanistic psychotherapy approaches and Freudian and Psychopathological methods. This broadened my competency in the field of counselling psychology, allowing me to more effectively help individuals who are struggling with a variety of issues.

I have been fortunate enough to serve as a faculty member and University Professor for over ten years in different universities. During this time, I have taught a wide range of psychology and counselling courses to both graduate and undergraduate students, and I have supervised both academically and clinically numerous students. I have also published many scientific articles in international journals, contributing to the ongoing conversation around effective therapeutic practices.

I strongly believe in the importance of seeking knowledge throughout one’s life, from the cradle to the grave. That’s why I always make an effort to keep myself updated through various means, such as teaching, attending workshops, academic conferences, and trainings.
